International market support for entrepreneurs in The Hague

If your SME from the Hague region is ready for a significant step across the border, we will be happy to help you make it a success.

IMEC is an intensive and personal coaching program with workshops, providing the right contacts and a valuable network to make your international step a success. The IMEC processes are part of the SME deal ‘international entrepreneurship for and by entrepreneurs’ that InnovationQuarter and The Hague Business Agency are carrying out on behalf of the municipality of The Hague. Participation in the process is free.

In addition to workshops and guidance, the IMEC program also ensures that entrepreneurs from The Hague meet each other and enables them to share knowledge. The resulting networks from previous editions have proved to be of great value to many entrepreneurs in The Hague.

Are you an SME entrepreneur from The Hague region, and do you think your service or product would be well marketed abroad? Or is your turnover within the Netherlands reaching its limits? Then the moving across the border is obvious. This can be done, for example, through exportation or setting up a subsidiary in the country of your choice.

IMEC: nine months business boot camp

Your International Market Entry will prepare you for business success in another country in nine months. We do this on the basis of joint workshops and personal guidance by experts from The Hague Business Agency, InnovationQuarter and representatives from the chamber of commerce of the country concerned. Conditions of participation

If we work for you to maximize your chance of trading success, we naturally expect something from you in return. Participation in the program is free, but it does take time. You spend about two to three half-days per month on the various program components. We expect you to be present at the collective parts. If you really can’t make it yourself, we would like you to be represented by a competent authority. We also expect you to be willing to share your experiences through interviews or short presentations to inspire other entrepreneurs in The Hague.

Who are we?

The Hague Business Agency and InnovationQuarter are carrying out the SME deal ‘international entrepreneurship for and by entrepreneurs’ on behalf of the municipality of The Hague and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate.

Internationally active entrepreneurs are often more innovative and spend more money on R&D. Due to the larger sales market, they are also less dependent on local market developments, have greater resilience and are more competitive. These are all important reasons to support entrepreneurs from the Hague region who have ambitions across the border.

The knowledge and international networks that we can offer entrepreneurs within the Your International Market Entry process thus contribute to both the local and international profile and the strengthening of SMEs from the Hague region.
