BilgeAdam chooses The Hague for first European branch
As a part of its global expansion strategy, Turkish company BilgeAdam IT Group has opened its first European branch in The Hague under the name BilgeAdam Technologies. The Dutch office is to operate from the WTC and will be led by Executive Director Ray Vlasveld. The opening of the branch marks the group’s aim to scale up its international expansion.
Highly qualified IT staff
Vice-President and Co-owner Furkan Firat says that BilgeAdam is responding to increased demand for well-qualified IT staff with the opening of its new office in the WTC in The Hague. The branch is to focus on software development, outsourcing, consultancy, training and managed services. The company will employ a combination of Dutch staff and suitably skilled migrant workers and will also deploy its own highly experienced senior employees.
BilgeAdam opted for the Netherlands because of the business-friendly culture and the huge demand for skilled IT people. It was the obvious choice for the group’s mainland European headquarters. The Hague Business Agency and the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency assisted BilgeAdam with setting up in the Netherlands and with finding suitable office space and staff. The two agencies also helped the company negotiate various operational matters.
“The Hague offered the best package for BilgeAdam. The city has a very customer-oriented approach and a great team of professionals who were able to meet our requirements as a company wishing to set up in the Netherlands,” says Firat.
Unique flying squads
BilgeAdam works with flying squads. A flying squad comprises a scrum team that can be used on demand and in response to developing high-quality innovations and business processes as quickly as possible. Flying squads can be deployed on location for at least a year and each one consists of a scrum master and four to eight developers. There is of course also the option of outsourcing. But whether it involves secondment, flying squads or outsourcing, BilgeAdam focuses on software development and maintenance (Microsoft, Java) within the domains of Digital Transformation, BI/Data Science, Security and Enterprise Content Management.
IT vendor partnerships
BilgeAdam works in partnership with various leading IT vendors, including Microsoft, Oracle, RedHat, IBM, VMWare, Symantec, Huawei, HP, Dell, EMC, PMI, CheckPoint, Apple, Google, Adobe and Autodesk.
BilgeAdam’s portfolio includes Pepsi, Johnson & Johnson, Mercedes Benz, Vodafone, Turkcell, HSBC Bank, Yapi Kredi Pension and AXA Insurance.
