The Hague has a new typographic logo
The logo is part of Merkboek Den Haag (The Hague’s Brand Book) and is designed by nine young graphic designers who all completed their studies at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague.
The logotype is composed of the name of the City and creates a connecting element for all parties that work on the marketing of The Hague. The logotype will feature in the online Brand Book The Hague, that was developed as part of the approach ‘Haagse City branding 2020’.
It was chosen to develop the logo with young, self-employed designers from The Hague (all graduates of the Royal Academy of Art The Hague). Nine designers selected to participate collaborated in a self-appointed collective. For the last several months the design process was overseen by a Selection Committee, consisting of representatives from sectors such as Higher Education, Tourism, Business/Investment and the Residential sector.
The designers are: Dayna Casey, Rogier Rosema, Annebel Schipper, Inês da Costa, Menno de Bruijn, Floris Schrama, Eveline Veldt, Theo-Bert Pot, Joost Dekker.
