The choice for The Hague derived from contacts with The WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency (WFIA) and The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA). The first contact dates back to 2008, when Tong Ren Tang participated in the ‘High Value Pants Products’ seminar for greenhouse cultivation in the Improvement Center in Bleiswijk. The intention to invest in The Hague was ratified by a Letter of Intent during the trade mission of Prime Minister Mark Rutte to China earlier this year.

The presence of this community has really contributed to the cities’ interest in Chinese traditional medicine.”
