First Taiwan Family Day in The Hague great success!
Sunday 23rd November, 11:00 AM: Madurodam The Hague. After all the preparations, the weather was the only variable that couldn’t be controlled. However, a clear blue sky and a warm autumn sun provided all the ingredients for a perfect family event!
The Taiwan Business Association (TBA), with assistance of the Westholland Foreign Investment Agency, organized the first annual Taiwan Family Event in The Hague. The idea for this event started back in August when the WFIA had a dinner with the Ambassador of the Taiwan representative office, Mr. James Lee and the recently appointed Chairman of the Taiwan Business Association, Mr. Richard Vong.

As the The Hague region boasts many Taiwanese companies operating in different sectors, The WFIA was more than happy to help TBA organizing a day for all Taiwanese employees and their families to strengthen the Taiwanese business community.

The Ambassador of the Taiwanese Representation Office officially opened this day. In his speech, he emphasized the important trade relationship between Taiwan and the Netherlands and about connecting business and social communities in the Netherlands. The opening was followed by a mixed Asian-Dutch lunch, a Madurodam parc visit and some experience sharing by Mr Michael Lai, Managing Director of Aeon Astron. The day ended after a very long ‘Happy Hour’.
With over 70 attendees, the first Taiwan Family Event was a great success and plans for the second Taiwan Event in the Hague region are already being developed for next year.
