First step towards Smart City The Hague
On 23 April the Municipality of The Hague, Siemens, KPN, Stedin, TNO, TU Delft, Centre for Innovation Campus The Hague and The Hague University gave the starting signal for Smart City Den Haag.
The partners signed an agreement of intent. This agreement shows their support for the ambitions to develop projects in and around the city with the innovative use of technology in the period up to 2018.
The Smart City projects focus on a smarter use of the existing infrastructure, people and resources. A major spin-off is the creation of employment. The projects generate jobs and contribute to the attractiveness of the city for consumers, companies and people working in the knowledge sector.
