European Space Solutions Conference 2016
The European Space Solutions conference will be held in The Hague, the Netherlands from May 30th to June 3rd 2016. The fourth edition of the conference will focus on the latest trends in Space services and applications for agriculture, food, river deltas, smart mobility, climate change, environment, health, safety and energy. A series of seminars will explore how the European Union’s Earth Observation and Satellite Navigation programmes (Copernicus and Galileo) can deliver innovative solutions to tackle real-life challenges.
The event will explore how Space makes a difference to the lives and livelihoods of people across Europe and around the globe. For the first time, the conference will feature a hands-on showcase of more than fifty innovative Space applications, technology solutions and cutting-edge research results from across Europe, including a special focus on Space applications in The Netherlands.
The conference will focus on innovative Space-based solutions to tackle challenges in the fields of agriculture, food, water, mobility, climate change, health, safety, and energy.
Participants will learn also about new Space applications using data from the European flagship Space programmes Copernicus (Earth Observation), Galileo and EGNOS (satellite navigation).
The European Space Solutions conference is widely recognised by the Space community as one of the key platforms bringing together actors from across the European Space applications landscape. It provides the ideal setting to rub shoulders with entrepreneurs, investors and start-ups, industry leaders, researchers and the policy-making community, and serves as a showcase for the latest Space-based applications in Earth Observation and satellite navigation, as well as the latest developments in European Space research.
The 5-day conference will include demonstrations, exhibitions, round tables, one-to-one business meetings, side seminars and networking opportunities with more than 2,000 professionals from within Europe and beyond.
Timed to coincide with the European Space Solutions conference, the European Space Expo will be installed on Het Plein in The Hague’s old city centre between May 27th and June 5th 2016. Over 900,000 European citizens from across the continent have already visited the European Space Expo which has been on tour since June 2012. This free and interactive exhibition highlights the many ways in which the EU Space programmes (Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS) benefit EU citizens ‘on the ground’ every day.
