For the past three decades, InterAction’s Forum has convened leaders from a variety of sectors, becoming one of the largest gatherings of international development and humanitarian professionals.
With 50 diverse workshops, four high-level plenary sessions, and an evening gala banquet, InterAction’s 2016 Forum creates a stimulating environment for participants to engage with colleagues and partners from a variety of sectors to forge common solutions on pressing global challenges. In 2015, over 1,000 attendees representing NGOs, governments, the philanthropic community, corporations, and civil society participated in the Forum.
In addition to networking, the Forum offers a series of workshop tracks specifically designed for attendees at different stages in their careers—including a CEO track, topical tracks for professional staff, and a Young Professionals Summit. The Forum also features an exhibit hall where attendees can see new technologies and solutions that are changing the way we all work.
In the past year, U.S. NGOs and their partners have faced an unprecedented range of challenges–including the recent drought in Ethiopia; protracted conflicts in Syria and Yemen, and the displacement or forced migration of millions. As we work to address the most crucial issues of our time, Forum 2016 provides a space for attendees to be on the cutting edge of our field’s thinking and to both hear and contribute to strategic discussions on how we can effectively address these complexities.
