The Hague as entrance to Western European markets

E-ngineers was founded in Saint Petersburg in 2007 by a group of 7 ex-employees of Saxo bank IT subsidiary. Today the company employs 25+ people. In 2017 the company established its operations at the World Trade Centre, The Hague, from where it now offers its services to the Western-European market. Especially The Hague’s international spirit has convinced E-ngineers to move its first European office here and that has gone well. “The Hague Business Agency helped us to get in touch with all the necessary resources to start our business activities smoothly”, explains E-ngineers Sales Director Hans Peeters.

Doing business in The Hague

Peter Scheffers, International Business Advisor at THBA, who had established E-ngineers initial connection to The Hague, says, “We are very glad to welcome E-ngineers to The Netherlands. With much experience in capital markets, trade, manufacturing and retail, E-ngineers delivers high quality software engineering and IT solutions to banking, trading and e-commerce companies. Their choice for establishing in The Hague will be an added value to the Dutch fintech vertical and gives a boost to their European expansion.”

Future plans

While the development centre remains in Saint Petersburg, it’s the company’s ambition to expand the current team of 2 consultants at the branch in The Hague to a team of ten advisors and project managers. “Our plans are to find long-term cooperation with more Western European companies for which we can do a substantial part of their software development”, states Peeters.
